Gulal Art Collective is a women-led NY based co-op platform for emerging and established visual artists who bring the uninhibited joy of color, rooted in festivity and the memory of other skies, into the contemporary art spaces of New York and beyond.

THE VISION

A world where the fullness of human experience, every color, every crossing, every place a person has called home, is visible on the walls of the spaces where art is collected, shared, and given away.

Gulal Art Collective was founded by two painters who share one instinct — that color, applied freely and without apology, is the most direct conversation a canvas can have with a room. Kajal and Rujuta are equal co-founders, each bringing a distinct practice and a complementary body of work to everything the collective does.
